New Air-Conditioning and Heating System Available for the Hummingbird
The Hummingbird helicopter has earned a reputation as a comfortable, reliable, and safe aircraft. At Vertical Aviation Technologies, we remain committed to continuously improving the Hummingbird by incorporating features that enhance both performance and pilot comfort while maintaining exceptional value.
As part of this commitment, we are pleased to introduce our new all-electric air-
conditioning and heating system, now in full production and available as an optional upgrade.
Air-Conditioning System Features
Designed specifically for the Hummingbird, this system provides effective cabin climate control while minimizing weight and power consumption.

- Electrical Demand: 45 peak amps, 33 amps during normal operation
- All-Electric Design
The condenser/blower assembly is mounted beneath the pilot-side baggage area, while the compressor is located under the copilot seat. Two evaporator/blower units are installed forward of the tail pedals, one on each side of the cabin, and are connected to four adjustable air vents to provide efficient airflow and passenger comfort.
To maintain proper balance and performance characteristics, all system components are installed forward of the helicopter’s center of gravity. This new system reflects our ongoing dedication to providing Hummingbird owners with the comfort and convenience typically found in higher-end helicopters, while preserving the affordability and practicality that have made the Hummingbird a popular choice among builders and pilots worldwide.
